As our focus is on high-effort designs, we wanted to do something special with our rear bumper. We started with a modular design that offers either:

a) High-Clearance wings that fit the stock bed, adding about 8″ of ground clearance in the corners, or

b) Ultra-High-Clearance wings intended for customers who want to do a rally cut on their bedsides or who simply like the look, and which add 10″+ ground clearance in the corners and bedside.

With a focus on maximizing what is possible in the design, we have incorporated all factory options; ParkSense sensors are provisioned with angles mated to the stock calibration, and the tow plug, Trailer TPMS, Trailer Camera, and Keyless Entry options all incorporated. The stock HD tow hitch is retained to maintain tow ratings, to offer an excellent recovery point, and to not invite the liability of a DIY/unrated hitch.

Since many customers who upgrade their trucks tend to use oversize tires that no longer fit in the spare tire location, we decided to use that available space for an optional storage system. This is something really unique, and VERY useful. Large enough to fit a Partner Stove 16″ model width-wise, plus a full recovery gear kit, plus propane, plus tools, plus room to spare – this is a huge upgrade to the stock truck! A MOLLE floor panel set with dividers is available for organization. The drawer replaces the spare tire winch and has locking latches. If you wish to keep your stock spare tire or simply don’t need the drawer system, a clean cover plate bolts to the face of the bumper for license plate mounting.

A set of Baja Designs Squadrons is incorporated into the wings, or blockoff plates can be used to cover those ports. A set of BD rock lights can be incorporated into the lower angled portions of the center section beside the tow hitch, with a great illumination angle and protected from damage.

• First-of-its-kind ‘Ute’ Utility Storage Drawer offers high-volume storage in the frequently unused OEM spare-tire space
  • – Massive drawer formed from one single piece of 1/8″ 5052 Aluminum
  • – Utilizes Southco Key-Locking Latches
  • – Color-matched Bulkhead plate
  • – Optional MOLLE & Divider Kit available for Drawer to add securement for accessories in the drawer

• Integrated Lighting:
  • – Optional Baja Designs Squadrons in Wings can be incorporated with flush-fit mounting, or blockoff plates can be used in these ports
  • – Optional Baja Designs rock lights can be mounted on the outer faces of the center section, giving optimal light placement and protection

 

• Two Wing options built for harsh offroad use, with fully boxed wings and structural mounting to the tow hitch and frame rails. All components undergo heavy brake forming, with an emphasis on using precision CNC bends rather than independent welded sections. With 14 bends in each Ultra-High Clearance wing, and 18 bends in each High Clearance wing, no other bumper on the market approaches the complexity and inherent strength of this design.
  • – High Clearance: Built to integrate with the factory bed geometry, these wings increase corner ground clearance ~8-9″, in the most commonly impact places during offroad use. Wrapping under the factory bed, these protect the sensitive sheet metal, and allow a full return to stock
  • – Ultra High Clearance: Built for hardened users, or those who appreciate the rally-style look, these wings are intended for use with a slant-cut on the rear of the bed, increasing ground clearance ~11″ in the most impacted areas. While primarily designed to be used in conjunction with a bedside cut, these can also be used with blackout vinyl under the embossed lower bed corner, or with the bed left unmodified.
